WATCH → TALK → TRY
Make a little more of your adventure.
Watch together
Open the episode on YouTube. Notice a colour or count together, then choose a decorating idea to draw.
Pick a page
Print the whole book or choose a favourite activity. A single page is enough for a little discovery.
Play your way
Try a finger before a pencil, talk about the pictures and let your child set the pace.
Before you print
Use A4 paper, portrait orientation and single-sided printing. Choose “Fit to printable area”. White activity pages with black outlines keep printing economical. No cutting is required.
What is inside?
A colour cover and parent guide; seven activities covering a monster cupcake, pumpkin patterns, a bat baker, a ghostly treat, counting six cupcakes, your own cupcake design and a Halloween party scene; plus an Explorer award.
Free to download and print for activities together at home or in your educational setting.
Keep playing: pumpkin colour by number →Watch, notice and choose
- Notice a mixing action and name it together.
- Choose a colour you would use for your cupcake.
- Pause and count at your child’s pace, then count the six cupcakes on book page 7.
These are optional parent conversation prompts, not a transcript or an assessment. At home or in an early years setting, choose one activity or take more time.
Make your own paper cupcake
The book includes a monster cupcake, pumpkin patterns, a bat baker, an explorer ghost and a party scene. Add sprinkles, invent a name and draw a design of your own. You only need paper and pencils, crayons or washable markers; this is a drawing book, not a recipe.
Get the free A4 book ↑Cook with Ivan in Cookie Kitchen
Choose ingredients, stir the dough, shape three cookies, bake and colour your own icing. Tap or drag to play, then share your cookies with Ivan. This is a separate pretend cooking game inspired by the baking theme.

Which pages should we print?
Choose one activity or print the ten-page A4 book. The colour cover is optional; the activity pages work in black and white. British English instructions are included.
Do we need scissors?
No. The book has colouring, drawing and counting activities, with no cutting required.
Can children bake along?
If you choose to bake, an adult must supervise and handle the oven, hot trays and equipment. Check ingredient labels and any allergies before using food. The printable book can be enjoyed without cooking.
