Optional ideas for shared play. Pause or stop whenever your child wishes.
Choose, mix and create
For ages 3–7, with a grown-up alongside when helpful. Take products directly from the kitchen table. Drag them around the table, then drop them into the bowl when ready. Or tap a product on the table and then tap the bowl. In Easy mode, follow the red frame: flour, butter, two eggs and milk. In Free choice mode, add these five products in any order. The ingredients are pretend play, not a recipe to follow in a real kitchen.
How to play
- Use the bottom buttons for Show me, Pause, Easy/Free mode and Again. In Easy mode, add the ingredient inside the red frame. A fictional childlike voice gives a short prompt and praise. In Free choice mode, add every product once in any order. Show me repeats the spoken prompt and animates a mouse pointer from the product to the bowl. It demonstrates without adding any food.
- Stir around the bowl with a finger or mouse, or press Mix.
- Choose round, star or heart shapes and tap three tray spaces. Tap an existing cookie, then another shape to change it. Press the green tick when all three shapes are ready.
- Press Bake. Ivan handles the oven; take out the tray when the bar is full. Swipe the towel across the cookies three times to cool them, or press Wave towel for each breeze.
- Choose a cookie, choose an icing colour and draw on it. Add dots or eyes, and use Undo to change your design. The selected cookie opens large in the centre. Decorate it, then press the green tick to move to the next cookie. Confirm all three to share them.
- Tap each cookie to share it with Ivan. Pause keeps your work; Again asks before starting fresh. Exit returns to this page.
Play your way
There is no timer, score penalty, account or purchase. Keyboard buttons provide alternatives to dragging and drawing. Music and Voice have separate buttons. Open Levels to adjust their volumes independently; the starting levels are Music 25% and Voice 90%. Hear hint previews the voice. Turn music off to keep spoken hints without background music; Voice off mutes the childlike narration and counting. The same English character recordings are used in both editions. Your recipe is kept only in this page session; reloading starts fresh. Backgrounding the game pauses it.
Try together
Name a colour, count two eggs and three cookies, or predict the next ingredient. These are shared-play opportunities, not promised learning outcomes.
